When walking in the old town with its oval shape, one can find many majestic medieval buildings which today are museums or civic centres.  The cathedral of Santa Maria stands out. Statues decorate the city which is the Capital city of the Basque Country (Euskadi) and at the same time the capital city of the province of Alava (Araba).

In the centre of the city (In the Florida walkway) we find the Florida Park which is the park of Vitoria with a XIX century French style that has influenced many parks in the northern part of the Iberica peninsula.
