Tolosa

Tolosa has been very important in the history of Gipuzkoa. It was a walled town and an important military site with a lot of privileges from the Kings. Although Tolosa has changed a lot, it stills preserves part of the medieval remains.

The old town preserves very interesting buildings, the Church  of Santa Maria,  The Andia palaces, Atodo Aranburu e Idiakez, both town halls and the old Diputacion Palace.

The Carnival of Tolosa is very famous, full of people and state coaches. Tolosa offers a huge gastronomic variety, such as the beans, chilli peppers and  pastries (tejas y cigarillos).
